INTRODUCTION This comparison has been created to assist the NovelEdge TM licensee in estimating the difference in annual income between a combined cycle, (CC), power plant operating based on conventional technology and one based on the NovelEdge TM patented cycle. Inserting variables into either of the two Input Sheets will result in the generation of the comparison including charts showing a number of parameters including: revenues from generation; fuel cost; and annual income, among other parameters, as well the conventional Vs NovelEdge TM differences in these parameters. INSTRUCTIONS & DESCRIPTION Description: There are two sections to this comparison. One section is utilized by inserting variables into the sheet entitled Input I, the other by accessing and completing the sheet entitled Input II. Following each Input sheet the following sheets will be found: Chart 1 Chart 2 NE Conv. Compar. These sheets will be discussed later in this section. At this point let us review the two input sheets. Many potential users of the NovelEdge TM cycle have specific load profiles that they would like to consider when generating their annual income statement. This load profile can take on many forms. Input I affords a simplified load profile that considers three seasons, Summer, Winter and Shoulder Months. Inserting variables, including the intended operating period based on: number of weeks; number of days per week; number of days per weekend; hours per week; hours per weekday; hours per weekend; anticipated selling price for power; fuel cost; power generated and heat rate along with a few other parameters will result in the generation of the comparison. Input I is provided for those clients that have or wish to use this type of seasonal data as the input. Input II is a simplification of Input I. Input II requires the user to input the anticipated annual hours of operation at any desired power output along with the associated heat rate for that power output along with the other variables such as cost of fuel, the anticipated selling price of power etc. Input II provides for up to nine (9) operating points. For example: Input for Three Major Points, Peak Power, Best Efficiency and Lowest Power can be inserted AND three point between Peak Power and Best Efficiency AND three point between Lowest Power and Best Efficiency can be inserted. Input II will permit the use of any number of points up to nine. Should the user wish to input only one or perhaps only three points the comparison will be generated with this input. Instructions: 1.
